Change in focus

So when I started, my focus was on the amount of $500 as a figure to live within. Now I think I'm gravitating towards a more flexible view, in which I'm focussed more on living within my means and saving for my dreams, while understanding that there are things I value that are not affordable within the $500 amount. I had made an exception for kids' expenses already but I was still finding it very restrictive. I had to replace my car battery on Thursday, at a cost of $180. I have managed to get my Mojo budget category up to $2000 which is exciting but I've also used my car rego savings (which was insufficient anyway). So may need to use Mojo for that, depending on how much I save beforehand and the results of the pink slip inspection. Fingers crossed there is nothing major from that. Which reminds me that I need to book it in.
